We are proud to be working exclusively in partnership with Hastoe Housing Association to recruit a Project Surveyor to support the delivery of its Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) remediation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected housing association and play a key client-side role in delivering two significant building safety projects. Acting as Hastoe's representative, you'll oversee appointed consultants and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with Cladding Safety Scheme funding requirements, and Hastoe's internal governance standards.
The Role
Working as the intelligent client, you'll provide project oversight, governance and stakeholder management across two remediation schemes in Upper Norwood and Luton. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the main point of contact between Hastoe, consultants and contractors.
- Overseeing project delivery, programmes, budgets and risk.
- Review and challenge technical proposals, procurement approaches, cost plans and programmes.
- Ensuring compliance with CSS requirements, Building Safety Act and Building Safety Regulator requirements.
- Reporting project progress to senior leadership, Homes England and other key stakeholders.
- Lead or support resident and leaseholder engagement throughout project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience in cladding remediation and/or fire safety projects.
- Client-side, project management or consultancy oversight experience.
- Knowledge of the Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS), Building Safety Act and High-Rise Residential Building (HRB) requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Social housing experience would be highly desirable.
- HNC/HND (Level 5) or above in a relevant discipline.
- MRICS is preferred but not essential.
