Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a permanent days-based position offering strong earning potential, overtime and plenty of variety? This is an opportunity to join a large, established process manufacturing and distribution business operating from the Bristol area. You'll be completing bulk deliveries to customer sites across the region, with a mixture of local and longer-distance work.

This isn't standard RDC-to-RDC driving. The role involves getting out into more rural locations, navigating country lanes and taking responsibility for safely manoeuvring and completing deliveries at sites where access can sometimes be challenging.

The Role

  • Bulk deliveries throughout the region
  • Driving rigid and articulated vehicles
  • Typically 1-5 drops per day depending on distance
  • No fixed routes, providing plenty of variety
  • 4 day week with typical starts around 5:30am
  • Days generally planned around 11 hours
  • Rural and challenging-access customer sites
  • Occasional nights out with additional allowance
  • Full training and support provided

Salary & Benefits

  • Circa £45,000 - £50,000 depending on overtime and additional hours
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 above 44 hours
  • 28 days' holiday, Paid Sickness, enhanced pension, life assurance, medical cover
  • Permanent position
  • Training and development
  • Potential support for suitable Class 2 drivers to gain Class 1

What We're Looking For

You’ll need a minimum Class 2 HGV licence, with Class 1 preferred. Previous bulk, tipper, tanker or construction and agricultural delivery experience would be advantageous. More important is being comfortable with self-delivery and manoeuvring larger vehicles around difficult-access sites. This would particularly suit someone who enjoys driving but doesn’t want repetitive depot-to-depot work and prefers a role where routes and deliveries vary from day to day.

Interested? Apply today if you clearly meet the requirements or get in touch for a confidential discussion and further information. Please note, the client is unable to offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must be able to demonstrate permanent and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
