The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment has partnered with a high profile division of the Civil Service who have offices throughout the UK to help recruit for a Head of Internal Communications for a 13 month period on a fixed term basis.

The Role

  • This role will help devise and lead an employee engagement strategy that inspires colleagues and supports them through a large scale transformation programme.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a structured employee engagement strategy using multiple communications channels to engage and inform colleagues.
  • Provide robust counsel to the CEO and ExCo on internal communications and employee engagement. Scripting speeches for Chair, CEO and other senior executives as required.
  • Lead and develop the internal communications team by setting a clear team vision, championing learning and development and working with individual team members to maximise their potential.
  • Deliver an engaging employee intranet which combines a strong editorial calendar with high user numbers and satisfaction levels.

Requirements

The successful Head of Internal Communications role will meet most of the following criteria:

  • Managing multiple suppliers budgets.
  • Strong presenting skills, ability to confidently host business wide events with 250+ attendees.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across copy, video screens, speeches with CEO/Chairs.
