Yolk Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with Valleys to Coast (V2C) to appoint a highly organised and confident Governance Officer to join its growing Governance team and support the delivery of excellent corporate governance across the Group, for a 12 months fixed-term contract. This is a key role supporting the Board, Committees, and subsidiary entities, ensuring V2C continues to meet the highest standards of compliance, regulation, and best practice within the Welsh housing sector.
The Role: Reporting to the Governance and Secretariat Manager, the Governance Officer will provide essential support to ensure effective decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating Board and Committee meetings (agendas, papers, scheduling, minutes)
- Supporting compliance with the Code of Governance for Housing Associations in Wales
- Maintaining governance documentation, delegated authority schedules, and forward planning
- Supporting the Annual General Meeting and drafting contributions to the Annual Report
- Assisting with Board recruitment, induction, development plans and training coordination
- Supporting corporate assurance reporting, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks
- Maintaining Board performance management records and assisting with self-evaluation processes
