MERITUS are working with a leading engineering and systems integration organisation based in Glasgow. They're looking for a Lead Control Systems Software Engineer to take a key role in delivering complex, high-impact projects.
As a Lead Control Systems Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of industrial control system software, with a strong focus on PLC-based systems within energy environments. You will provide technical leadership across multiple projects, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of energy assets. Working across the full project lifecycle, you will be involved from initial concept and system design through to commissioning and client handover, supporting both new build and upgrade programmes across power and energy infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of control system software solutions, primarily using Siemens PLC platforms
- Oversee full project lifecycle delivery, including requirements capture, design, coding, testing, and commissioning
