Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Community & Events Fundraising Manager to lead a busy programme of fundraising events and community activities during a period of maternity cover. The role will be responsible for managing a range of fundraising events, including major challenge events, third-party events and community fundraising activities. This will include: London Marathon 2027, Sri Lanka Trek 2027 & LEJOG Challenge 2027. You will oversee events from initial planning and participant recruitment through to delivery, fundraising support and evaluation.

Community & Events Fundraising:

  • Manage the day-to-day Community & Events fundraising programme and income.
  • Manage a varied calendar of fundraising activities, including runs, walks, cycles, adrenaline challenges and overseas events.
  • Recruit participants through the website, social media, advertising and other fundraising channels.
  • Provide excellent support and stewardship to fundraisers from recruitment through to post-event follow-up.
  • Identify and develop new fundraising events and opportunities.
  • Set up event registration pages, webpages and promotional activity.
  • Support people undertaking their own fundraising, including fundraising in memory or celebration.
  • Build strong relationships with community fundraisers, volunteers, patient groups and supporters.
  • Work with the Donor Recruitment and Marketing & Communications teams to maximise fundraising opportunities.
  • Manage fundraising materials and stock, ensuring resources are available and kept up to date.
  • Work effectively with external event suppliers, partners and other stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 5 years' experience in community and events fundraising.
  • A strong track record of achieving fundraising targets and growing income.
  • Experience managing projects from planning through to delivery, on time and within budget.
  • Experience recruiting, engaging and stewarding supporters.
