Opportunity: Senior Private Client Lawyer

Location: Cirencester | Hybrid Working

Salary: Up to £95,000+ (flexible for the right person) + Bonus

Some opportunities are about finding another job; others are about finding somewhere you can make an impact. We're working with a highly respected, long-established Cotswolds firm that is looking to strengthen its Private Client team following a number of retirements over recent years. This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner-level lawyer to join a successful team and help shape its next chapter.

The firm isn't looking for someone to simply step into an existing mould. They're looking for someone who can bring their experience, ideas and client relationships to help continue growing the department. The role can be shaped around the right person - whether that means developing client relationships, growing a following, mentoring the next generation of lawyers or playing a key role in the strategic direction of the team.

The Opportunity:

  • You'll advise a loyal and established client base on a broad range of high-quality private client matters, including:
    • Wills and estate planning
    • Trusts
    • Estate administration
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney
    • Court of Protection matters
    • Succession planning
    • Complex family wealth matters

The firm has particularly strong links with landed estates, agricultural clients, business owners and families with multi-generational wealth, meaning you'll have the opportunity to work on interesting and often complex matters involving significant assets, property and succession considerations.

Why This Opportunity?

For the right person, this is about more than a caseload. It's about joining a firm where relationships matter, where clients have often been with the firm for generations and where you'll have the autonomy and trust to build something meaningful. The culture is one of the things that really sets them apart. This is a friendly, collaborative firm where people are approachable, egos are left at the door and lawyers are trusted to get on with doing great work. Flexibility is part of how they operate and many of their people have built long-term careers there.

What They Are Looking For:

This role would suit an experienced Private Client lawyer who is looking for:

  • A Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner-level position
  • The opportunity to have influence within a growing team
  • A firm where relationships and quality of work come first
  • The autonomy to develop their own practice and support others
  • A long-term career move rather than simply another role

You may already be operating at Partner level or you may be a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready for more responsibility and a clearer path forward. The firm is open-minded - the key is finding the right person.

What Is in It for You?

  • Fee-earner bonus scheme
  • Additional summer and Christmas firm-wide bonuses
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Private healthcare
  • Free parking
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Birthday leave
  • Christmas office shutdown
  • Enhanced pension contribution
  • Death in service cover
  • Legal advice benefit

If you're looking for a role where you can use your experience, build something for the future and become a key part of a respected Private Client team, I'd love to tell you more. Get in touch for a confidential chat!
