Yolk Recruitment are working with a growing insurance services business in the heart of Cardiff that supports both UK and international insurance providers.
The team delivers a wide range of services including claims handling, customer service, underwriting, and pricing - all with a strong focus on data, innovation and continuous improvement.
Right now, they're looking for a Travel Claims Handler to join the team.
It's a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the Cardiff office and the rest working from home.
You'll be responsible for managing travel insurance claims from start to finish, providing a high standard of service to customers travelling both within the UK and abroad.
If you're experienced in handling claims or a recent graduate who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing
- Assessing indemnity, liability and quantum on travel claims
- Identification and referral of fraud indicators and recovery opportunities
- Support the Claims Team Leader with day to day departmental activity
- Pro-active case load management
- Negotiating settlement of claims
- Providing exceptional service to our customers
- Actively seek and provide input that may lead to improved operational processes within the claims area
- Ensure quality, service standards and productivity levels are maintained to a high standard and in line with the company's expectations
- Be conversant with the business' compliance procedures and risks to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements

- Recent graduate looking a new challenge
- Previous experience in travel insurance claims is ideal - but not essential.
- Confident communicator who can build rapport with customers and third parties.
- Comfortable using data to spot trends and make informed decisions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Organised and able to meet daily and weekly targets.
