The Opportunity

Yolk Legal is pleased to be working with a well-established full-service law firm that is looking to strengthen its Personal Injury team with the appointment of an Industrial Disease Solicitor.

This is an opportunity to join a specialist team supporting clients who have suffered illness or injury as a result of their employment.

You'll work across a varied caseload, dealing with matters that can have a significant and lasting impact on clients and their families.

The role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for your own caseload while working within a supportive team and developing your experience across a range of industrial disease claims.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day work will include

  • Managing a caseload of industrial disease claims with appropriate supervision.
  • Advising clients on liability, evidence and quantum and helping them understand their options.
  • Preparing correspondence, witness statements and other legal documentation.
  • Reviewing medical records, employment histories and supporting evidence.
  • Working with medical experts, Counsel, clients and other third parties.
  • Progressing claims effectively while maintaining high standards of client care.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues on case strategy and complex matters.
  • Maintaining accurate files and meeting regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Supporting business development and profile-raising activity within the Industrial Disease team.

The caseload may include matters involving asbestos exposure, respiratory disease, noise-induced hearing loss and other occupational illnesses.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from solicitors who have an interest in claimant Personal Injury and Industrial Disease and who want to develop their career within this area.

You’ll need to be

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Previous Industrial Disease or asbestos experience would be advantageous, but a genuine interest in developing within this area will also be considered.
