An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Corporate & Commercial Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join an established and highly regarded legal team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's specialist Healthcare team, advising an established client base of healthcare businesses and professionals across England and Wales. Alongside this specialist work, you will also have the opportunity to advise a broad range of SME clients across South and West Wales. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, director-led environment, whilst building a specialist profile within the healthcare sector.
You will advise clients across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including:
- Corporate acquisitions and disposals
- Business sales and purchases
- Company restructures and reorganisations
- Shareholder and partnership arrangements
- Commercial contracts and agreements
- Corporate governance matters
- General commercial advisory work
- Supporting clients through business growth, investment and succession planning
A significant part of the role will involve working with clients within the healthcare sector, including dental practices, pharmacies, GP practices and other healthcare providers.
We are looking for a solicitor with approximately 3-6 years' PQE who has:
- Strong technical Corporate & Commercial experience
- A genuinely commercial and client-focused approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage matters with a good degree of autonomy
- An interest in developing a specialist healthcare practice
- A strong understanding of the needs of owner-managed businesses and SMEs
- Enthusiasm for business development and developing your own profile
- The ambition to play an active role in growing an established department
Previous healthcare experience would be advantageous but is not essential. What is most important is strong Corporate & Commercial experience, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing expertise within the healthcare market.
