A continental shift pattern during the working week is on offer, giving you more time off without sacrificing earning potential, ideal if you are looking for a better work-life balance without compromising on career progression.
As a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer, this is what you will be doing:
- You will be part of a highly experienced engineering team, working a days and nights rotation supporting a fast-paced production environment with a range of specialist machinery.
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime, including fault finding and reactive repairs.
- Identifying recurring mechanical issues and implementing long-term fixes through root cause analysis.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Ensuring all tools and maintenance equipment are in good condition and fit for purpose.
- Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The experience you will bring to the team:
- Ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- A time-served, apprentice-trained engineer with a strong mechanical background is essential.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic electrical fault-finding skills would be advantageous, but the role is mechanically focused.
And this is what you will get in return:
- Alongside a competitive salary of £44,000, you will benefit from a strong overall package.
- You will be joining a secure, growing business that is actively investing in both its facilities and workforce, with genuine opportunities for progression and development.
