Opportunity: Senior Residential Property Lawyer / Conveyancer
Location: Bournemouth | Hybrid & flexible working
Salary: Up to £80,000 + bonus
A senior conveyancing role where you can decide what the next chapter of your career looks like. If you've spent years building your experience in residential property, you'll know that not every senior move needs to mean managing a department or chasing partnership. Sometimes you want the autonomy to run your own matters, a good team around you and the flexibility to get on with what you do best. But if you're looking for more, there's also the opportunity to help shape a team, take on greater responsibility and potentially progress towards partnership.
I'm working with a Legal 500 law firm in Bournemouth looking to bring an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Conveyancer into its team. They're open-minded about what the right person wants from the role, with real scope to make it your own.
The Work & Team:
You’ll manage your own varied caseload from instruction through to completion, covering freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, shared ownership and more complex, high-value transactions. You’ll be joining an established residential property team with experienced Partner-level leadership, solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, conveyancers and support staff. There’s plenty of autonomy, but also a wider network of specialist teams across the firm to work alongside, including private client, commercial property and corporate and commercial.
The firm has a strong local presence, a Legal 500 profile and recognised quality standards including CQS and Lexcel. Its culture puts emphasis on collaboration, looking after its people and developing careers, with a number of Partners having progressed internally.
Who We Are Looking For:
A Solicitor or experienced Conveyancer with around 8+ years' residential property experience, confident managing their own caseload and handling complex transactions. You’ll enjoy building client relationships, have a good commercial understanding and be keen to contribute to the wider team. Whether you’re happy as a senior fee-earner or would like to work towards a leadership position and partnership, both routes are open for the right person. There’s no expectation that everyone follows the same career path.
What’s On Offer?
- Up to £80,000 + bonus
- Hybrid working, typically 1-2 days in the office
- Flexible hours and compressed working arrangements
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off
- Contributory pension and annual salary reviews
- Healthcare cash plan, 24/7 online GP and mental health support
- Dedicated BUPA Menopause Plan
- Three weeks' occupational sick pay from day one and income protection
- Occupational maternity pay
- Funded training and development
- Cycle to Work scheme, staff discounts and regular social events
