Yolk Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded regional law firm with the recruitment of a Post Completions Clerk to join its Residential Conveyancing team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised administrator or experienced conveyancing professional to coordinate post‑completion matters within a friendly, supportive and forward‑thinking legal practice.
As a Post Completions Clerk, you will work closely with conveyancing fee earners, clients, mortgage lenders, HMRC and HM Land Registry, ensuring that all post‑completion requirements are handled accurately and efficiently. Previous post‑completion experience would be beneficial, although full training can be provided to someone with strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
This is what you will be doing
- Preparing letters, forms and supporting documentation following completion of residential property transactions.
- Checking completion statements and ensuring financial calculations are correct across client and office accounts.
- Submitting relevant documents and applications to HMRC and HM Land Registry.
- Responding promptly to Land Registry requisitions and resolving outstanding registration issues.
- Liaising with mortgage lenders and conveyancing fee earners regarding mortgage redemptions, registrations and other post‑completion enquiries.
The experience you will bring to the team
- Previous administrative experience, ideally gained within residential conveyancing, property or a professional services environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships and work collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work while managing a varied and fast‑paced workload.
- Excellent IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office packages.
- Previous post‑completion or LEXCEL experience would be advantageous, although it is not essential as training will be provided.
