Portuguese Speaking Accounts Payable Assistant – FTC
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week

About the Role
Our client, a leading international organisation based in Cardiff, is seeking a Portuguese-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You\’ll play a key role in managing purchase ledger, staff expenses, and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
- Manage and verify staff and corporate credit card expenses.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment queries.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments in both Portuguese and English.
- Assist with month-end close, including accruals and reporting.
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
- Experience in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role.
- Excellent accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
