Buyer
Yolk Recruitment are supporting an established manufacturing business in Swansea with the recruitment of a permanent Buyer.
You'll be responsible for making sure the business has the materials and products it needs to keep production running smoothly, placing orders, managing supplier relationships and making sure deliveries arrive when required.
You'll work closely with production, planning and other internal teams to understand what is needed, keep purchasing schedules on track and deal with any issues that arise.
You'll also monitor stock levels and purchasing requirements to make sure orders are placed at the right time and in the right quantities.
It's a hands‑on buying role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the day‑to‑day running of a busy manufacturing operation
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day purchasing activities, ensuring materials and products are ordered correctly and delivered on time.
- Manage the purchasing process from identifying requirements through to delivery.
- Monitor schedules, purchasing requirements and planning information to ensure production requirements are met.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve purchasing, delivery and availability issues.
- Use Excel and internal systems to manage purchasing information, analyse data and maintain accurate records.
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of purchasing processes.
