MERITUS are recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join a leading engineering business, overseeing the manufacture, testing and delivery of high-quality electrical control panels for major UK infrastructure projects.

PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER - ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANELS - ENERGY ? NUCLEAR SECTORS- £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - STONE, STAFFORDSHIRE

We're looking for an experienced Production Team Leader with a background in electrical manufacturing and control panel production to lead production teams delivering complex electrical control panel solutions.

You'll oversee multiple projects, ensuring manufacturing, testing and production milestones are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with Production Scheduling, Engineering and other business areas, you'll help plan daily activities, maintain a strong "right first time" culture and ensure projects are delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily production activities to achieve project milestones.
  • Supervise the build and testing of multiple electrical control panel projects.
  • Work with Production Scheduling to manage resources, priorities and workloads.
  • Monitor production progress and ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Maintain production records and documentation.
  • Ensure high standards of quality throughout panel manufacture and testing.
  • Promote a "right first time" culture across the production team.
  • Train, mentor and develop production staff and apprentices.
  • Maintain strong health & safety standards and compliance.
  • Identify production issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Project Management and Scheduling teams to resolve issues and minimise delays.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience leading or supervising production teams.
  • Experience within electrical manufacturing or production.
  • Experience in electrical control panel manufacture, assembly, wiring or testing.
  • Good understanding of production planning and project delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple builds and competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of quality, health & safety and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
