You’ll be involved in significant deputyship cases, act as a director of the firm’s trust corporation and provide expert advice on property, financial affairs, health and welfare matters.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing a highly complex caseload including Court of Protection Property & Affairs, health and welfare decisions, and trust matters.
- Leading, mentoring, and supervising junior fee earners to help grow the team and strengthen their expertise.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, deputies, professionals and external stakeholders, providing clear, practical guidance.
- Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to ensure the firm delivers the highest-quality legal service.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and supporting knowledge-sharing within the firm.
The Ideal Candidate
- Extensive experience in Court of Protection matters, ideally managing high-value or complex files.
- Proven ability to take ownership of cases, make critical decisions and work with confidence in best interest processes.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, able to build strong relationships with clients, deputies and colleagues alike.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
- Experience in trusts, deputyship or private client matters is highly desirable.
