MERITUS are working with a highly specialised engineering organisation delivering bespoke, low-volume, high-value systems into defence, offshore and advanced technology environments. They're looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join, requiring strong engineering awareness, hands-on delivery ownership, and the ability to operate confidently with both customers and multidisciplinary technical teams.
You will take ownership of complex, custom-built systems projects, managing the full lifecycle from concept through to delivery, working closely with Systems Engineers and acting as a key interface between the business and the customer. This role is ideally suited to individuals from defence, aerospace, electronics or complex manufacturing environments who are comfortable operating in technically demanding, customer-facing delivery roles.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end delivery of bespoke engineering projects, ensuring alignment to technical, commercial, and customer requirements.
- Act as the primary customer interface, managing expectations, communication, and long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS) across complex engineering programmes.
- Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers and technical teams to define, validate, and deliver system-level solutions.
- Monitor project performance including budget, cost-to-complete (CTC), risks, and delivery milestones.
- Support bid and proposal activity, contributing to project scoping, costing, and technical solution definition.
