Quality Manager

Up to £50,000 DOE

Yolk Recruitment are supporting an established South Wales manufacturer with the recruitment of a Quality Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional looking to take ownership of the quality function within an established manufacturing business.

Working closely with production, engineering, customers and suppliers, you'll have overall responsibility for quality assurance across the business, ensuring products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory and industry standards. You'll lead the existing Quality team, manage quality systems and audits, drive corrective actions and continuous improvement, and play a key role in developing the company's approach to quality as the business continues to grow.

As a Quality Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Taking overall responsibility for the Quality function across the manufacturing business.
  • Leading and developing the existing Quality team.
  • Ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Working closely with customers and suppliers to understand quality requirements and resolve quality issues.
  • Leading quality assurance activities throughout the product lifecycle, from design through to production and launch.
  • Managing internal and external quality audits and ensuring continued compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Driving root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to ensure quality issues are effectively resolved and not repeated.
  • Working closely with Production and Engineering to identify and implement improvements across processes.
  • Developing and improving quality systems, processes and procedures across the business.
  • Ensuring quality issues and corrective actions are effectively communicated between departments.

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing, corrective action and root cause analysis.
