Quality Inspector
Yolk Recruitment are supporting an established manufacturing business in Pontypool with the search of a Quality Inspector.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production environment where you'll play a vital role in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before they reach customers.
If you have previous experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering or Production, and take pride in delivering high standards, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for inspecting materials, components and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.
Working closely with Production and the wider Quality team, you'll identify non-conformances, maintain accurate inspection records and help drive continuous improvement to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process products and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Carry out visual, mechanical and functional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Perform measurements and testing in line with established procedures and specifications.
- Identify defects, deviations and non-conformances, reporting findings to Production and Quality Management.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records and reports.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities when quality issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met.
- Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
