As part of this, they are looking to add an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to their established team. Working a rotating 3-shift pattern across mornings, afternoons and nights, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the electrical reliability of a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on position where you'll be responding to breakdowns, completing planned maintenance, and contributing to ongoing improvements across the site.
You will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing electrical faults, keeping equipment running efficiently, and supporting installation and upgrade projects as the business continues to invest in its future.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs on production equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical faults and conducting root cause analysis to reduce downtime.
- Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Maintaining drives, motors, control systems, PLCs, sensors, and automated equipment.
- Working closely with the wider engineering team to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- A recognised electrical engineering qualification, ideally gained through an apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Solid, hands-on experience across maintenance within heavy engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
- Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
- Experience fault finding and interrogating PLC systems.
