Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing a new opportunity for a CNC Turner to join a growing team, working on a two shift rota, mornings and afternoons.

This long-standing engineering business is a key supplier to a global AAA client base, with customers relying on their services for over 20 years and a strong long term order book continuing to provide security for the future.

This is what you'll be doing

  • Programme, set and operate CNC lathes to manufacture high-precision components in line with engineering drawings and required tolerances.
  • Machine a range of specialist materials, including Inconel, Super Duplex and other heat-resistant super alloys.
  • Create, save and edit CNC programmes using Fanuc controls, selecting appropriate cutting tools and machining conditions.
  • Self-inspect completed work using a range of metrology equipment, following first-off inspection procedures and maintaining all required documentation.
  • Support the wider production team through basic machine maintenance, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety, and providing guidance and training to colleagues where required.

The experience you'll need in this role

  • Previous experience working in a similar CNC Turning or precision machining role, ideally with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience using Fanuc controls to create, save and edit CNC programmes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using EDGECAM software and/or machining exotic materials.
