Shift: Monday to Thursday only - 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am (weekly rotation - no weekend working!)

This is what you'll be doing:

  • As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of a wide range of production machinery and plant equipment.
  • Working as part of an experienced team, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities whilst contributing towards continuous improvement across the site.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding on a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Work on motors, drives, contactors, relays, sensors, control panels and safety circuits.
  • Diagnose faults using PLC inputs, outputs and fault codes to support effective troubleshooting.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance including bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, pumps and motors.
  • Support the maintenance and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including heated press equipment.
  • Carry out installation work, modifications and continuous improvement projects across the site.
  • Undertake welding and fabrication repairs where required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented correctly and completed in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Identify recurring faults and contribute towards long‑term engineering improvements.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and engineering best practice.

Qualifications:

  • Time‑served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding ability.
  • Experience working with 3‑phase systems, drives, motors and control panels.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automated machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions.
