MERITUS is working with a leading UK consultancy to recruit an SC Cleared Project Manager for an initial 6-month contract delivering high-profile financial services transformation programmes. This role is ideal for a contract PM with a strong background in regulated environments, governance-driven delivery, and stakeholder-led transformation, operating at the intersection of business change, technology, risk, and compliance.
The successful consultant will lead structured programme delivery, ensure adherence to governance frameworks, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable outcomes for a major financial services institution.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead end-to-end delivery of business and technology change initiatives in a highly regulated financial services environment.
- Manage senior stakeholder engagement, delivery governance, RAID, risk mitigation, and reporting to ensure programme alignment and compliance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across consulting, technology, business change, and operational functions to deliver transformation outcomes.
- Own delivery planning, execution, dependencies, and progress tracking using Agile and Waterfall methodologies where required.
- Active SC Security Clearance (required, must be valid and in use within the UK).
- Proven experience delivering transformation programmes in financial services, with strong governance, risk, and compliance oversight.
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project delivery, including sprint planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and structured reporting.
- Strong tooling skills including JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and PM governance artefacts (RAID, dashboards, delivery plans).
