E Yolk Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded national law firm with the appointment of an experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer with strong claimant clinical negligence and litigation experience to manage complex, high-value claims while supervising and developing a small team.

The firm welcomes applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time hours and is open to discussing alternative working patterns.

For those based in Bristol or Cardiff, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement of two days in the office and three days working from home.

As a Clinical Negligence Lawyer, you will work exclusively on clinical negligence matters, handling a varied caseload of complex claims from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.

You will also play an important role in supporting junior colleagues, maintaining high standards of client care and contributing to the continued development of the wider Clinical Negligence team.

This is what you will be doing Your duties and responsibilities will include:- Managing your own caseload of complex, technical and high-value claimant clinical negligence claims, both pre-issue and post-issue.

Supervising, mentoring and supporting a small team of clinical negligence case handlers.

Conducting regular risk assessment meetings, one-to-one supervision sessions and case planning reviews.

Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and in accordance with CPR, internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

Participating in team training, business development and marketing activities.

The experience you will bring to the team You will bring the following experience to the Clinical Negligence team:- Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, ideally with around four to five years' PQE.

Proven experience managing claimant clinical negligence claims and a strong track record in litigation.

A detailed working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and the law relating to clinical negligence.

Previous experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior lawyers and case handlers.

Excellent client care, communication, organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to deal sensitively with clients and professionally with medical experts.

Experience handling claims funded through legal expenses insurance, legal aid or conditional fee agreements would be advantageous but is not essential.
