Yolk Recruitment are supporting a regional law firm named within The Sunday Times' Best Places to Work in 2025 with the appointment of a Senior Employment Lawyer to help strengthen and grow its Employment offering. This is a standout opportunity for an ambitious Senior Employment Lawyer who enjoys high-quality work, wants real autonomy, and is keen to play a key role in shaping a growing Employment team, without sacrificing work-life balance.
As the Senior Employment Lawyer, you will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, work closely with colleagues to generate cross-referrals, and build strong relationships with clients and introducers. If you're a confident Senior Employment Lawyer with tribunal experience and a genuine interest in business development, this role offers the platform to make your mark.
What you will be doing:
- Managing a varied caseload across contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising both employers and employees.
- Drafting tribunal documentation and running Employment Tribunal claims end-to-end.
- Producing and reviewing employment contracts, policies, handbooks and wider employment documentation.
- Supporting the wider firm through cross-referrals, including providing corporate support to Corporate and Commercial colleagues.
- Building the Employment profile through business development, networking and introducer relationships.
Experience you will bring to the team:
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 7+ years' PQE in Employment law.
- Strong tribunal experience, including drafting pleadings and managing claims.
- Solid technical coverage across areas such as TUPE, redundancies, settlement agreements, post-termination restrictions and employee relations issues.
- Evidence of business development and networking, with the confidence to drive growth in the Employment offering.
- Ideally, some experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
