Location: Circa £42,000 + Benefits

Shift: Double Days with Early Friday Finish

Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure long-term opportunity with a well-established manufacturer in the Chard area? Yolk Recruitment is supporting a well-known and highly respected manufacturing business with the recruitment of an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of an experienced engineering team responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently through both planned and reactive maintenance activities. You'll be working across a varied manufacturing environment, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring machinery downtime is kept to a minimum.

  • Fault finding on electrical and mechanical production equipment
  • Supporting reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance schedules
  • Carrying out mechanical maintenance including bearings, chains, gearboxes, belts and conveyors
  • Assisting with continuous improvement and project work across the site
  • Ensuring all engineering activities are completed safely and in line with site standards
  • Supporting production teams to maximise machine uptime and reliability

Previous experience within a manufacturing or production maintenance environment is required. Comfortable working on both electrical and mechanical systems. Experience with inverters/VSDs, panels, motors and production machinery is essential. Engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or equivalent would be beneficial.
