This is what you'll be doing

As a Production Operative, you'll play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Setting and operating production machinery within a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Carrying out machine changeovers to support different production runs.
  • Producing high-quality products whilst meeting production targets and quality standards.
  • Monitoring machine performance, including speeds and feeds where required.
  • Inspecting finished components using measuring and gauging equipment.
  • Reading and working from technical drawings and production instructions.
  • Identifying faults or production issues and reporting these promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure production schedules are achieved.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production department.
  • The experience you'll bring
  • Previous experience within a Production Operative, Machine Operative or Manufacturing Operative role.
  • Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Experience carrying out machine changeovers would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings or production documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work to production targets whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
