Job Description Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer 53,500 + Overtime at 1.5x + Paid Breaks Dupont Shift Pattern | 12-Hour Days & Nights | Full Week Off Every Month An engineering role with a full week off every four weeks. If you're a Maintenance Engineer looking for a strong salary but also want meaningful time away from work, this shift pattern is worth considering. Working a Dupont rotation, you'll average 42 hours per week across 12-hour days and nights, but every four-week cycle includes seven consecutive days off. You'll be joining an established engineering team within one of the UK's largest manufacturing groups in their sector, a business generating more than Β£1.5bn in annual revenue and continuing to grow through investment and acquisition. It's also an interesting time to join from an engineering perspective. The group is investing heavily in engineering capability, reliability and continuous improvement, with engineers being encouraged to get involved in projects, equipment improvements and the development of engineering standards across the wider business. Working within a multi-skilled shift team, you'll carry out a combination of planned maintenance, reactive fault finding and engineering improvement work across the site. Fault finding and breakdown response across process and production equipment. PPMs and planned engineering activities. Maintenance of conveyors and packaging machinery. Mechanical repairs involving bearings, gearboxes, chains and sprockets. Electrical fault finding across three-phase equipment, motors and control systems. Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery. Supporting equipment upgrades, modifications and engineering projects. Root cause analysis to tackle recurring faults rather than repeatedly applying short-term fixes. We're interested in engineers with a good practical maintenance background rather than somebody from one specific industry. Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience. Experience maintaining industrial, manufacturing or heavy equipment. Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors and electrical control equipment. Mechanical experience with bearings, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics and/or pneumatics. A recognised electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled engineering qualification. Experience within food or FMCG would be useful, but isn't essential, and engineers from other manufacturing, industrial, HGV or Forces backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Overtime paid at 1.5x ~ Paid breaks ~ 18 days annual leave + bank holidays ~ Long-term opportunity within a Β£1.5bn+ manufacturing group ~ Exposure to engineering projects, reliability and continuous improvement ~ Established engineering team with excellent staff retention ~ Genuine opportunities to develop as the wider group continues investing in its engineering function If you're a Maintenance Engineer looking for a strong package, varied hands-on engineering work and a shift pattern that gives you a full week away from work every month, I'd be keen to speak with you.
