Overview

The HR Business Partner will provide proactive, pragmatic and commercially focused HR support to senior leaders and managers across a defined portfolio. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role requiring a confident and experienced HRBP who can operate autonomously, manage complex employee relations, and lead on performance management and workforce issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and advise on a high volume of complex employee relations casework, including sickness absence, performance management, disciplinary and capability matters.
  • Provide expert advice on employment law and best practice, with a strong working knowledge of current and emerging legislation, including the Employment Rights Bill.
  • Ensure cases are managed consistently, fairly and in line with policy, legal requirements and organisational values.
  • Support leaders to move from a traditional "HR-led" approach to a collaborative partnership focused on outcomes and solutions.
  • Build strong, credible relationships across the business and influence at senior management level.
  • Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and workforce planning activities as required.
  • Contribute to multiple HR projects alongside the core business partnering role, managing competing priorities effectively.

Essential skills and experience

  • Chartered HR professional or equivalent level of experience.
  • CIPD Level 6 is desirable but not essential where significant experience is demonstrated.
  • Proven experience working as a HR BP in a complex organisation.
