About the Opportunity

We are currently supporting a leading organisation seeking an experienced SAP Manager to lead the operational management, optimisation, and future development of its SAP landscape. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and performance of a complex SAP S/4HANA environment while helping drive ongoing transformation initiatives and cloud readiness activities. Managing a team of SAP specialists, this role combines technical leadership, service ownership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SAP analysts and developers
  • Manage SAP service delivery across BAU, enhancements, projects, and support activities
  • Own SAP system performance, stability, and availability
  • Oversee critical business support activities including month-end and year-end processing
  • Manage third-party vendors, AMS providers, and external partners
  • Govern change management, transport management, and release processes
  • Support SAP transformation initiatives and future cloud adoption programmes
  • Ensure documentation, compliance, audit, and governance standards are maintained
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and senior leadership

Required Experience

  • Previous experience managing SAP teams within complex enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA operations and support
  • Experience across SAP Finance (FI/CO) and HCM landscapes
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
  • Experience working within structured service management frameworks (ITIL, CAB, release management)
  • Understanding of SAP integrations, workflows, and authorisation concepts

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting SAP transformation or cloud migration programmes
  • Exposure to professional services or regulated industries
  • Experience managing external suppliers and AMS providers
