Quality Inspector

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a well-established manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Quality Inspector. This is a hands-on quality role suited to someone with previous inspection experience who is confident using CMM equipment, carrying out first-off and final inspections, completing FAI reports and maintaining high quality standards within a manufacturing environment. The role operates on a rotating morning and afternoon shift pattern.
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting machined components and ensuring products meet customer, quality and internal requirements. You will also provide technical input on measurement methods, support continuous improvement and act as a point of authority on quality-related issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of manufactured components.
- Complete First Article Inspection reports accurately and to the required standards.
- Use and programme CMM equipment and other relevant inspection equipment.
- Conduct product quality audits to ensure agreed procedures and inspection plans are being followed.
- Inspect bought-out components and materials where required.
- Ensure all quality and inspection documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Provide advice on appropriate measurement techniques and inspection methods.
- Support a strong quality culture and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Act as a point of authority on quality-related issues, working with colleagues to identify and resolve problems
This is what you'll need:
- Experience in a similar Quality Inspector or Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using CMM inspection equipment, including programming.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to inspection and documentation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
