Housing Solutions Team Leader in Haverfordwest

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment have partnered with ateb to recruit an experienced housing professional to take a lead role within their Housing Solutions team, supporting customers and leading a team of Housing Coordinators to deliver effective housing and tenancy services.

About the role

As Housing Solutions Team Leader, you'll lead and support a team of Housing Coordinators, ensuring customers receive a high-quality, responsive service and that the team delivers the right outcomes.

A key part of the role will be taking the lead on ASB cases, including managing complex and higher-risk cases, providing advice and guidance to the team and taking appropriate action to resolve issues.

You'll also be expected to attend court proceedings where required.

You'll also

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Housing Coordinators.
• Set clear objectives, monitor performance and provide effective feedback and support.
• Oversee housing and tenancy management activity, ensuring cases are managed effectively.
• Take responsibility for high and medium-level ASB cases and provide expert support to colleagues.
• Support the team in dealing with customer concerns, complaints, safeguarding and other complex issues.
• Help customers access appropriate advice and support to sustain their tenancies.
• Use data, insight and customer feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Contribute to projects and process improvements that enhance customer outcomes.
• Ensure the team operates within relevant legislation, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners.

About you

We're looking for an experienced housing professional who can bring both strong housing knowledge and confident people leadership.

You'll ideally have

• Experience working within social housing or a closely related housing environment.
• Strong experience of managing ASB cases, ideally including complex cases and court proceedings.
• Experience of leading, supervising or managing a team.
• A good understanding of tenancy and community management.
• Experience of managing risk, resolving problems and making sound professional decisions.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• The ability to coach, challenge and support colleagues to deliver great customer outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with customers, colleagues and external agencies.
• A flexible, practical approach and the ability to respond to changing business needs.

A housing qualification such as CIH Level 5 or equivalent would be advantageous, although ateb is open to considering equivalent experience, qualifications and transferable skills.
