We're working with a major international manufacturing organisation to recruit a Learning Designer into a growing Capability & Learning team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take knowledge and expertise from across a complex global business and transform it into engaging, practical learning experiences that genuinely improve how people perform in their roles.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing engaging digital, blended and self-directed learning experiences for employees across the organisation.
- Creating structured learning journeys and pathways, taking learners from initial knowledge through to practical application.
- Working closely with subject matter experts to capture their knowledge and turn complex information into clear, engaging learning content.
- Facilitating discovery sessions and content-design conversations to understand what employees genuinely need to learn.
- Creating microlearning, digital content, performance-support resources and knowledge tools.
- Applying adult learning and instructional-design principles to create practical, learner-centred solutions.
- Using storytelling and visual communication to make learning easier to understand, remember and apply.
- Coaching and supporting subject matter experts to structure and communicate their knowledge effectively.
- Working alongside internal Learning & Capability and technical platform specialists to ensure learning solutions make the best use of available technology.
- Designing learning that can be reused and scaled across different teams, functions, locations and countries.
- Gathering learner feedback and using engagement and performance data to continually improve learning experiences.
- Ensuring learning content is accessible, inclusive, easy to navigate and consistent with agreed standards.
- Exploring new learning technologies and approaches while keeping solutions practical and user-friendly.
- Helping measure whether learning is actually making a difference - looking beyond completion rates to understand engagement, knowledge application and business impact.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience within Learning Design, Instructional Design, Digital Learning, L&D or a similar role.
- Experience designing digital and blended learning solutions.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional-design principles.
- Experience creating structured learning journeys, programmes or pathways.
- The ability to take complicated, technical or specialist information and make it simple, engaging and easy to understand.
- Experience working directly with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather knowledge and identify learning requirements.
- Strong written communication, storytelling and content-design skills.
- Experience using digital learning or authoring tools/platforms.
- An understanding of LMS platforms or wider learning ecosystems would be beneficial.
