This is a hands-on position covering a broad mix of laboratory support, facilities upkeep and technical maintenance. Your days will include carrying out essential safety checks, supporting gas delivery systems, maintaining specialist lab equipment and assisting with general site improvements. You will be the main point of contact for technical issues on site and will work closely with the scientific teams to ensure everything is fully operational.
Experience working in a technical, facilities or engineering focused environment where safety and compliance are essential.
- Confidence supporting laboratory or industrial gas systems including handling, connecting and monitoring cylinders.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with experience of pumps, motors or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with carrying out routine compliance checks such as PAT testing, legionella monitoring or fire walk inspections.
- Willingness to get involved in a wide variety of tasks including basic facilities repairs and minor DIY where required.
- Any experience with HVAC would be highly advantageous but not essential as training can be provided.
