Yolk Recruitment are supporting a successful precision engineering business with the recruitment of an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to join their growing manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who can programme, set and operate CNC turning machines, producing complex, high-quality components to tight tolerances for demanding industries including aerospace.
The successful candidate will join a busy and expanding engineering environment, working with modern CNC machinery, Fanuc controls, and a wide range of materials.
As a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing precision-engineered components from customer drawings, ensuring quality, accuracy and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
Key responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
- Create new CNC programmes from engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Use Fanuc-controlled CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Carry out tooling selection, setting and optimisation to improve production efficiency.
- Complete programme edits, offsets and minor adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Machine a variety of materials including stainless steel and aluminium.
- Manufacture components ranging from small precision parts through to larger diameter components.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintain accurate production records and adhere to quality procedures.
