This opportunity would well suit an experienced Manual Machinist, but with one of the strongest training resources in the region is also open to those who need a little more support.
If you’ve worked with a manual lathe, mill or other conventional machinery, can read engineering drawings and are passionate about developing yourself, this is a great opportunity for you!
This is a three shift role, working a week of 6am - 2pm, a week of 2pm - 10pm and a week of 10pm - 6am. Opportunities for overtime have remained available for all those who want to make the most of their earning potential and as a large, well developed organisation they offer a fantastic benefit and perks package.
This is what you’ll be doing:
- Operating conventional workshop equipment to produce components according to specification
- Carrying out inspection of components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Working according to health and safety procedures
The experience you’ll need:
- Previous experience utilising conventional workshop machinery (manual lathe)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Apprenticeship is advantageous but not essential
