This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in manufacturing, casting, tooling, CAD, and continuous improvement to play a key role in supporting complex engineering projects, improving production performance, and ensuring high-quality components are delivered to customer requirements.
This role would suit a technically driven Product Engineer looking to develop their career within a specialist manufacturing environment, working on engineering improvements, problem solving, and process optimisation.
The Product Engineer will provide technical support across product engineering activities within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining best practice, reducing scrap and rework, supporting production teams, and improving manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain best practice across product engineering activities.
Provide technical support to production teams to ensure components meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Support the reduction of manufacturing scrap, rework, and production inefficiencies.
Manage engineering projects and improvement initiatives through to successful completion.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and control systems.
Use CAD, 3D modelling, and engineering software to support product development and manufacturing requirements.
Support tooling design, development, and optimisation activities.
Manage individual part programmes and ensure engineering requirements are achieved.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma/DMAIC methodologies to investigate issues and improve processes.
Analyse production data and prepare technical reports, qualification reports, and improvement plans.
Improve dimensional control processes and implement effective process controls.
