Service Engineer to join an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the maintenance, commissioning and reliability of critical electrical and control systems at a Nuclear Power Station in Heysham.
SERVICE ENGINEER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - NUCLEAR POWER STATION - HEYSHAM - SC CLEARANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED
We're looking for a Service Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background to carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, technical support and small project work within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
Full training will be provided on site-specific systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission small electrical and control system projects.
- Carry out planned maintenance, site surveys, technical audits and system health checks.
- Complete system upgrades, patching, backup and restore activities.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical and control systems.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support.
- Complete service reports and technical documentation.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong electrical engineering background.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Experience with PLCs, RTUs or industrial control systems.
- Experience within nuclear, power generation, utilities or other regulated industries.
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
