MERITUS are recruiting for a large aerospace organisation who require a Security Performance and Project Lead to support upcoming projects. We are looking for someone with a specific background in physical security - if you have no background in security mentioned on your application, you will not be considered.
An established advanced engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Security Performance & Projects Lead to support the delivery and continuous improvement of a complex physical security operation within a highly regulated industrial environment. This role combines operational security coordination, project delivery, performance management, compliance oversight and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will support the senior site security leadership team in maintaining robust physical security capability while driving service improvement, governance and operational efficiency across multiple workstreams.
The position requires a highly organised individual with strong project coordination capability, experience operating within structured governance environments and the ability to manage competing priorities across operational and strategic activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate physical security project activities across multiple operational and infrastructure programmes.
- Support delivery of site-wide security services including:
- Security operations
- Electronic security systems
- Emergency response
- Fire safety and fire response capability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through auditing, process review, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Produce and maintain KPI reporting packs, performance dashboards and operational trackers.
- Coordinate governance meetings, track actions and ensure closure of operational deliverables.
- Support capital expenditure projects relating to security infrastructure and operational capability.
- Maintain risk management coordination activities across the security function.
- Support compliance activities relating to environmental, health and safety obligations.
- Manage supplier administration activities including invoice processing, cost tracking and contractor coordination.
- Maintain operational and compliance documentation in line with regulatory and business requirements.
- Support security awareness and training initiatives across the wider business.
- Conduct assurance audits of third-party security providers and associated partners.
Essential Experience
- Experience in project coordination, operational support or programme administration within a regulated or security-conscious environment.
- Background within physical security, facilities, operations support or business services.
- Experience producing KPI reporting, tracking actions and supporting governance processes.
- Strong Microsoft Office and collaboration platform capability.
- Experience conducting audits, process reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Flexible and adaptable working style.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting physical security systems or infrastructure projects.
- Exposure to contractor or supplier management.
- Understanding of service delivery metrics, KPIs and SLAs.
- Experience within industrial, aerospace, manufacturing, defence, infrastructure or critical national capability environments.
