MERITUS are recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join our client that specialises in autotmation systems integration for industries such as Aerospace, Defence, FMCG and more.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN - £28,000 / £35,000 per annum - Telford, Shropshire + OPPORTUNITIES TO TRAVEL TO JAPAN, EUROPE, USA - FAST PROCESSYou'll play a key role in the build, testing and installation of electrical systems and equipment, working from detailed engineering drawings to deliver high-quality solutions for customers across the globe.
Based primarily at the company's manufacturing facility in Telford, you'll also travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally to support equipment installation and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities Assemble electrical systems and equipment from engineering drawings.
Build and wire electrical control systems and machinery.
Carry out electrical testing, fault finding and diagnostics.
Install and support electrical equipment at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and build documentation.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards.
Work collaboratively within the manufacturing and assembly team to meet project deadlines.
About You We're looking for a practical, motivated engineer with a strong background in electrical assembly and equipment build.
Significant experience in electrical assembly, electrical fitting or machine building.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
A full UK driving licence, valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
