The Opportunity
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team is working closely with a unique Christian charity working hard to better the lives of people in the York area. We are supporting them with their recruitment for a Director of Operational Support to join their senior leadership team, overseeing communications, HR & Governance, Fundraising, Pastoral Support, Facilities and Net Zero. You won't need to have expertise in all of these areas, however you will need to have experience of high level leadership in at least one of these areas with the aptitude to expand their expertise into these other areas.
What the Director of Operational Support will be doing
- You will be responsible for oversight of a wide range of the charities departments, deputising for the CEO where appropriate.
- Provide oversight and strategic leadership for Finance, Operational Support, Education and Mission.
- Deputise for the CEO, acting as a senior representative for the charity.
- Ensure effective use of resources for a charity with a £15 million annual turnover.
- Design and implement solutions to reduce the administrative burden on charity staff.
- Support the implementation of transformational programmes.
