Be the engineer who signs off that satellite terminals are ready for the real world.
Before a satcom terminal goes on a vessel, into the field, or onto a global network, someone has to prove it works — not just in theory, but against regulations, operator requirements, and real-world conditions.
This role sits at the point where RF, embedded systems, software, and compliance all meet. You are the person who makes sure a product is truly ready for market.
Why this role stands out
- You own system-level validation, not just isolated tests
- Your work directly enables product release and operator approval
- You influence product quality early, not just report problems late
- You work on real satellite communication hardware, not simulations or lab-only projects
- You collaborate internationally across engineering, QA, and production teams
If you enjoy understanding how complex systems behave end-to-end, this is where your skillset has real impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading system integration and verification activities for L-Band satcom products
- Designing and executing structured test plans and validation programmes
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and operator requirements (ETSI, FCC, etc.)
- Investigating failures and driving root cause analysis
- Working with RF, hardware, and software teams to improve system performance
- Coordinating specialist and compliance testing with third-party labs
- Maintaining high-quality documentation and reporting
What tends to fit well
- Engineers who have worked with satellite or wireless communication systems
- RF/electronics lab environments
- System integration and product validation
- Regulatory or compliance testing
- Python scripting for automation
- Debugging complex, multi-domain systems
The kind of person who thrives here
- Likes understanding how the whole system works
- Enjoys diagnosing tricky technical issues
- Is structured and methodical in testing
- Communicates clearly with cross-functional teams
- Takes pride in signing off a product with confidence
If you’ve worked on satcom, RF, or wireless systems and enjoy system-level problem solving, this is worth a conversation.
