Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong leadership skills and expertise in rotating equipment? We have an exciting contract opportunity for a seasoned professional to take the technical lead on complex engineering projects.
The Role
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for specialist design aspects of rotating package equipment, supporting product development and providing technical leadership across the full project lifecycle. You’ll mentor engineers, drive standardization, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and provide engineering support from concept through delivery.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, allocating work packages and monitoring performance.
- Review specifications and provide technical solutions for tender enquiries.
- Manage engineering documentation, drawings, and change control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years’ post-graduate engineering experience.
- Strong technical skills in CAD, mechanical design, hydraulics, and related disciplines.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Experience managing complex engineering projects end-to-end.
