We are supporting an innovative technology organisation seeking a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect to help shape and deliver advanced AI-driven solutions for the telecommunications sector. This is a senior, highly visible role sitting at the intersection of mobile network architecture, autonomous networks and agentic AI. You will work closely with customers to understand complex operational challenges, define compelling technical solutions and provide architectural leadership throughout the customer journey.
The successful candidate will combine deep telecoms knowledge with a strong understanding of modern AI architectures. Just as importantly, you will have the credibility, communication skills and presence required to engage confidently with senior customer stakeholders.
The Opportunity
You will take a leading role in designing AI-enabled solutions for mobile and fixed telecommunications environments, translating customer requirements into scalable technical architectures and practical implementation plans. The role will involve:
- Leading customer-facing technical discovery and solution-design workshops
- Understanding customer challenges across mobile network architecture, operations and automation
- Designing autonomous and AI-assisted network use cases
- Defining scalable agentic AI architectures for complex telecom environments
- Translating technical concepts into clear business and operational outcomes
- Acting as a trusted technical adviser to senior customer stakeholders
- Supporting technical implementation teams throughout solution delivery
- Providing architectural governance across customer projects
- Helping customers understand how AI, automation and network data can improve performance, resilience and operational efficiency
What We Are Looking For
You will be a senior telecommunications architect with significant experience working in customer-facing environments. Essential experience includes:
- Strong architecture experience within mobile telecommunications networks
- A solid understanding of mobile network domains such as RAN, Core, transport or OSS
- Experience designing complex technical solutions for telecom operators or network technology providers
- Knowledge of autonomous, self-optimising or self-healing network concepts
- Strong understanding of agentic AI, generative AI or AI-enabled automation
- Experience developing use cases that connect network data, operational workflows and AI decision-making
- The ability to lead technical conversations with both engineering teams and senior customer stakeholders
- Excellent presentation, workshop-facilitation and stakeholder-management skills
- The confidence and presence to represent technical solutions at a senior level
Agentic AI Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or strong knowledge of:
- Multi-agent or agent-based solution architectures
- Retrieval-augmented generation and semantic search
- Data correlation and entity-relationship mapping
- Network telemetry and real-time operational data
- Vector or graph databases
- Context management and token optimisation
- Prompt engineering and agent reasoning
- AI model performance, latency and inference-cost optimisation
- Scalable cloud-based AI deployment
Experience with technologies such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, Google Vertex AI, Gemini, BigQuery, Qdrant, ChromaDB, Pinecone, Weaviate or Milvus would be valuable.
Network Programmability
Hands-on network programmability experience is not essential, but you should understand the technologies and tools likely to be used by technical implementation teams. Relevant knowledge could include:
- RESTful APIs
- YANG data models
- NETCONF and RESTCONF
- gRPC and streaming telemetry
- Python, Go or similar automation languages
- Kubernetes and distributed systems
The emphasis is on being able to architect the overall solution, guide implementation teams and communicate effectively with both customers and technical specialists. These technologies reflect the implementation environment outlined.
Any of the following would strengthen your application:
- TM Forum Open API knowledge or certification
- TM Forum Autonomous Networks training
- Experience working directly with telecom operators
- Delivery of autonomous network or AI-based network operations use cases
- Experience presenting solutions to C-level, director-level or senior technical stakeholders
- A portfolio of AI implementations that improved latency, efficiency, accuracy or operating cost
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to take a leading role in the development of next-generation telecom solutions, combining deep mobile-network expertise with rapidly evolving agentic AI technology. You will operate at a strategic level with customers while remaining close enough to the technology to influence how solutions are designed and delivered. The role would suit someone who enjoys being at the front of complex customer engagements and wants to help translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, high-value network solutions.
Apply
If you are an experienced telecoms architect with strong customer-facing credentials and a genuine interest in agentic AI and autonomous networks, we would be keen to speak with you. You do not need to match every programmable-network technology listed. We are primarily looking for mobile-network architecture expertise, agentic AI knowledge and the ability to command credibility in senior customer conversations.
