A well-established engineering firm specialising in the design and delivery of complex rotating equipment and handling systems is looking to hire a Senior EC&I Engineer on a long-term outside IR35 contract (initial 12 month duration). You will join a highly skilled team working on a strong pipeline of projects in the energy and industrial sectors. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 remote) based in Glasgow.
Key Experience Sought:
- Proven EC&I engineering background within heavy industrial environments.
- Electrical design experience.
- Solid knowledge of MV motors, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
- Hazardous area design experience (IEC 60079, ATEX).
- Experience with skid-mounted/package units (instrument hook-up, loop checks, cabling, glands, JBs).
- Familiarity with machine monitoring systems (e.g. Bently Nevada).
- Strong documentation and drawing skills (AutoCAD, P&IDs, loop diagrams, I/O lists, panel layouts, etc.).
Security Requirement: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be British nationals, holding either a British passport or dual citizenship.
