A specialist developer of fibre optic sensing systems is seeking a Research Scientist/Engineer to join their growing R&D team in Bristol. About the Role

You will work alongside a small, dynamic team solving real-world detection and classification challenges in the time and frequency domains. Core activities include developing signal processing algorithms in Python, running experiments in the lab, and translating mathematical insights into tangible product improvements. The work is close to both hardware and deployment realities, offering the chance to see your research applied directly to operational systems.

  • A strong academic background in physics, electronics, or a related field (MSc, PhD, or equivalent)
