Python Software Engineer – Visual Quality / Media – London Hybrid – Outside IR35

A London-based technology company is seeking a capable Python Developer to support development and maintenance of an in-house quality test framework used to validate next‑generation video codec technology. Initial 3‑month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of the in-house video quality testing framework.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new features and improve performance.

Key Requirements

• Strong Python development skills (multithreaded, production code)
• Familiarity with REST/HTTP/JSON tooling and containers (e.g., Docker)
• Experience in test frameworks, automation, or media/codec workflows beneficial
• Location: London, 2+ days onsite per week
• Rate: Market competitive
• Start: ASAP / short notice

The Software Engineer must have full UK working rights and be able to attend the office in London at least 2 days per week.
