This is an engineering team where decisions aren’t pushed up the chain — they’re made by the people doing the work. The structure is flat. The expectation is ownership. And the engineers here don’t just build systems — they shape how they’re built. You’ll be working on live wireless systems, taking real cellular signals and making them usable in unpredictable environments. Not simulations. Not ideal conditions. Real-world RF problems that need solving properly.
The Role
- You’ll operate across the embedded stack, with the freedom to approach problems properly — not within rigid boundaries:
- Embedded C firmware development
- DSP implementation where needed
- Integration with RF hardware, DSPs and FPGA platforms
You won’t be siloed. You’ll work directly with RF, hardware, FPGA and DSP engineers to solve system-level challenges.
The Environment
A ~20-person engineering team spanning RF, DSP, FPGA, hardware and software. What makes it different:
- Decisions are made within the team, not escalated through layers
- Collaboration is direct and cross-disciplinary
- You’re trusted to own problems end-to-end, not just your piece
For the right person, that level of trust — and responsibility — is genuinely liberating.
Why This Role
- Engineers influence technical direction, not just delivery
- Work on real-world wireless systems, not controlled environments
- Broad exposure across embedded, DSP, RF and system integration
- Employee-owned structure — you have a real stake in the business
What Matters
- Strong Embedded C experience
- Exposure to cellular systems (ideally across layers L1/L2/L3 of the protocol stack)
- Experience working close to hardware / performance‑critical systems
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
- DSP implementation experience is highly beneficial
Package
- ~15% profit‑related bonus
- 7% non‑contributory pension
- Hybrid working (typically 3 days onsite)
If you prefer environments where everything is defined for you — this probably isn’t the right fit. If you want ownership, influence, and the freedom to solve complex problems properly, it’s worth a conversation.
