Overview
YO! Sushi is a global restaurant brand known for fresh, flavoursome, authentic Japanese food and a passion for guest service. We burst onto the restaurant scene in 1997 and continue to grow with over 70 restaurants and numerous kiosks worldwide. This role focuses on delivering a safe, welcoming, and high-standard guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe environment for all customers, including health & safety, hygiene controls and addressing allergens intolerances
- Completing training to be fully aware of how to maintain a safe environment for the team and guests
- Maintaining strong product knowledge to deliver the highest standard of service
- Upselling to increase sales and drive repeat business
- Being a team player within the YO! Team and supporting colleagues in running and serving customers with a smile
- Staying informed about YO! updates by regularly checking YO! 360, attending Team Meetings and interacting with Team Briefs
- Working as a team to deliver an exceptional guest experience across every shift
- Contributing to the restaurant’s success and profitability
- Committing to the safety of our team and guests within the restaurant
- Completing all cleaning tasks in a timely manner as prescribed in the Trail app
Qualifications & Attributes
- Previous background in a similar restaurant environment
- Welcoming and greeting all customers visiting or contacting the restaurant for reservations
- Up-to-date product knowledge of all dishes
- Ambitious and hungry to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent customer-facing demeanor, including a bubbly disposition and willingness to go the extra mile
- Ability to be the face and point of contact for customers and ensure their experience is positive
